Sarah’s food and beverage journey began at a small upscale Chicago italian joint in 2018. At only 19, she got to learn about wine and quality cuisine. She later became a milkshake maker at the original Jojo’s Shake Bar in River North where she learned valuable behind the bar skills that later lent to high volume cocktail bartending. After bonding with many accomplished bartenders in Chicago, she found a job barbacking at sister cocktail bars, The Victor Bar and Love Street. She soon climbed the ranks, becoming a well known bartender at the establishments.

In 2022, she moved to Austin and began bartending at Wax Myrtle’s, advancing her knowledge in food and beverage and challenging her people skills in hospitality. She met fellow bartenders there who helped her find educational programs for bar professionals including Bar Smarts and Lush Life which led her to attend Camp Runamok and complete a Canadian Whisky Certification. After winning a contest through the certification program, Sarah won a private Tour and Blending Session at HIram Walker Distillery with Master Blender Dr. Don Livermore and Global Ambassador for Canadian Whisky, Dave Mitton.

In Austin, Texas, Sarah has worked in hotels, restaurants, tiki bar prep, comedy clubs, liquor stores, as well as up and coming cocktail bars. She looks forward to expanding her education in the beverage industry. She continues to seek out educational opportunities to better serve her guests and sell the best product possible. In the next 10 years, she hopes to manage, design bar programs, consult bars looking to improve their cocktails and liquor selection, and become a brand ambassador for a brand that she is passionate about.
